Faith Lessons From the Olive Tree

Olives and olive trees were important in Bible times and Scripture, providing food, ointment, illumination, and in the making of soap. And the olive tree is a most amazing tree!

Though not generally tall this evergreen, with its extensive root system, is able to withstand wind, heat, and drought. And in its native dry and rocky Mediterranean habitat can produce fruit for over 1000 years!

6 Motivating Reasons to Study the Bible

As disciples, we know we really should study the Word. And we realize that most of us in this era have no valid excuse for not doing so. Particularly we who read English, with the myriad of free tools and aids available on the internet. Yet somehow, Bible Study (along with prayer) is one thing that we often seem to neglect.
